- Battery system
The EQE SUV features a new generation of batteries that set new standards in terms of performance, efficiency and charging power. The lithium-ion battery consists of ten cell modules with a usable energy content of up to 90.56 kWh.
- Intelligent recuperation
To increase the electric range, the electric motors of the EQE SUV can convert kinetic energy into electric energy (recuperation). The steering wheel shift paddles can be used to select between different recuperation levels and driving modes that define the level of energy recovery.
- Driving modes
Four driving modes selectable via DYNAMIC SELECT adapt the drive characteristics to your wishes. COMFORT as standard supports comfortable driving, while SPORT stands for dynamism. ECO emphasises a particularly efficient driving style, while OFFROAD brings advantages on unpaved roads, inclines and off-road.
- Intelligent thermal management
The intelligent thermal management system comprises several circuits: the drive cooling circuit is used to cool the electric powertrain and the charging components, and is coupled with a heating circuit for the interior, while the high-voltage battery has a separate cooling circuit.
- Platform architecture EVA2
All EQE SUVs have an electric powertrain (eATS) at the rear axle, and the versions with 4MATIC also have an eATS at the front axle. In the 4MATIC models, the Torque Shift function ensures intelligent, stepless distribution of the drive torque between the rear and front electric motors.
